Learn the Passionate and Romantic Argentine Tango

We're crazy for Swing (30 Meeter-uppers total!!) and we want more so in the words of the famous philosopher Bullwinkle, "Now for something completely different". After our last series we have about 40 Argentine Tango dancers (Tangueros). is is a great dance due to the inherent simplicity, once you understand some basic concepts. Argentine Tango is not the formal ballroom style but is, instead, the original passionate, romantic, Tango that relies on connection and the relationship with your partner. This class will focus on that connection and the passion needed to do true tango. The steps are actually quite simple and we will develop strong basics as well as the nuances to carry you on to more complex moves in the future. We attend Milongas (Tango social dances) as a group so your entry into the dance world is with friends.

You need not register with a partner but I will attempt to maintain gender balance between all my registrations. We will change partners throughout the class as well as occasionally reversing the Lead/Follow relationship for greater understanding.

Fee is $40 per person for the month (check or cash only) and note there are 5 classes for the price of 4!) Students with valid ID are $20 for the series (repeat students of mine get the student rate). No new students after the first week without approval. Spots must be reserved to ensure a proper balance. An open practice session follows. (Then we adjourn for refreshments.)
