Introduction to First Aid (members only)

Learn how to deal with some common first aid scenarios, with a focus on things that might be seen in makespace (although very rarely or never have!)

• Minor bleeding

• Major bleeding and shock

• Unconscious casualties

• Burns

• Choking

• CPR

• Chest pain

• Asthma

This is an awareness session and not a training course so you won't get a certificate, but you will get some hands on practise and hopefully feel better prepared to help someone if the need arises.

I was a volunteer first aid trainer with St John Ambulance until recently and have over 15 years experience in delivering and training first aid, so if you'd like to cover something that is not listed above, either message me or just let me know on the night.
