It's home improvement season and we have an unequaled opportunity for you all. On Saturday, July 23rd, John Avenson of the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and Todd Collins of AE Building Systems will be offering a free hands-on home energy efficiency workshop with a free lunch afterward.

NOTE: Avenson's Solar Home needs no furnace to stay warm in the winter and has zero energy bills.

  2. A yard presentation with hands-on real models of 2x4 corners of a house - students will seal and wrap their own models for air leaks teaching the “Passive House” standard.

  3. A yard presentation of the world’s best energy efficient windows

  4. Home walking tour of 1981 SERI (NREL) Passive heated House, now updated to “Passive-House“ standard (See: www.phius.org) : (See: www.avenson.net)
