Details from the Instructor (Ely):
This lecture/ demonstration is aimed at providing attendees with the knowledge to make informed decisions about getting their small flash off of their camera to allow for far greater control and creativity. Below is a detailed outline of the topics we will cover. What makes this this lecture different than any other lecture/ seminar/ article/ youtube video is that I dont have a vested interest in SELLING you anything! That means I can give you the straight story on what works, what does not, and how you can can dip your toe in the remotely triggered flash pond without spending a boatload of money. You are probably thinking " yeah yeah, I have heard that line about not alot of money before and clearly their version and my version of not a lot of money are not the same" So here it is right up front, no nonsense: What I will talk about during this lecture will be options that range from FREE up to a about $150. That $150 assumes you dont even own a flash yet!!!
So come join us, learn a little something, hang out with some cool people and have a few drinks and leave armed with the knowledge and confidence to make some inexpensive purchases to help get your photography to the next level...
A hand out sheet will be provided with the specific makes and models and even current prices of the equipment being discussed and demonstrated.
