Come meet other PyLadies to code, socialize and eat snacks! Flatiron Health has kindly invited PyLadies to their space to hang out and code. Please bring your laptop, as everyone will be working on a tutorial or their personal projects. Feel free to bring snacks or edible concoctions to share!

If you want to give an informal presentation (5-15 minutes) of what you're working on, please email nyc@pyladies.com with your name, a description of what you will be demoing, and any special A/V needs you need for your presentation. We want to see anything you're working on, regardless of the level of sophistication or stage of completion.

About our hosts for the evening:

Flatiron Health is a health care technology company based in New York City. The company was started by two of the founders of Invite Media, an advertising technology company acquired by Google in 2010. Our investors include Google Ventures, First Round Capital, and LabCorp.

After witnessing several family members and friends battle cancer, the founders began a journey to research the inner-workings of the oncology industry. Noticing that most cancer care centers, oncologists and researchers were deprived of even the most basic of data analysis tools that other industries enjoy, they decided to found Flatiron Health. Flatiron Health is bringing the power of big data to oncology and the healthcare industry. Our team is building data pipelines and structured databases to provide hospitals, physicians and patients with the critical insights they need to make informed decisions about medical care. Starting with the complex and challenging world of oncology, we are building the largest, most comprehensive system of oncology data intelligence in the US.
