If interested please fill out a complete profile (do not email the organizer) so that we may fairly consider you out of the many requests we get each week.

A COUPLE OF IMPORTANT GROUP POLICIES.
These have developed over the years to help make our meetups a smooth and enjoyable experience for all! Failure to follow these policies or other persistent "bad" behavior may result in removal at the discretion of the organizers. **We're not trying to be harsh at all, but these are the best rules we have come up with to make meetups run as smoothly as possible and be enjoyable for those who attend. Thanks for your cooperation.
IF YOU RSVP "YES" BUT DO NOT SHOW UP MORE THAN TWICE, YOU MAY BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE GROUP.
We meet at restaurants and no-shows have caused us to incur cancellation fees, lose tables and are generally just unpleasant for those who are waiting around for people who aren't coming.
Identifiable profile photos (of the actual member) must be maintained throughout membership.
Members without photos will not be admitted to meetups until they are in compliance (and if you've RSVPd yes and don't have a photo, you may be moved to the waiting list if an event fills up prior to getting back in compliance, so getting it fixed as soon as possible is in your best interest).
EMAIL REPLIES TO ORGANIZER EMAILS ARE REQUIRED A FEW DAYS PRIOR TO EACH MEETUP IN ORDER TO CONFIRM A YES RSVP (TO ENSURE WE HAVE ENOUGH RESERVED TABLES).
Please make sure to read emails from the organizer - I know the other automatic site emails are annoying but it's the only way we've found to effectively manage the size.
THE ORGANIZER WILL EMAIL "YES" RSVP MEMBERS A FEW DAYS BEFORE EACH MEETUP. YOU MUST EITHER (1) REPLY TO THAT EMAIL TO CONFIRM YOUR "YES" OR (2) LOGIN TO THE SITE AND CHANGE YOUR "YES" TO A "NO" BY THE DEADLINE SPECIFIED IN THE EMAIL (GENERALLY 24-36 HOURS PRIOR TO THE MEETUP). Confirmation does not affect whether you are counted as a no-show, but if you don't confirm, we may not have a seat for you if the restaurant is crowded or can't accommodate us.
Please, you must read the book before attending a meetup
- we've had problems in the past with new members coming to "observe". We sit in small groups to discuss, so it's not fair for the others at your table if you have nothing to contribute.
We hold our meetups at restaurants, so it is important that everyone order some food.
The restaurants get quite upset when we take up tables for 2-3 hours and people have ordered less than $20. If you have financial concerns or food restrictions, please try to check out menus ahead of time online if possible so there are no surprises.
Please only RSVP "yes" for events that you honestly plan to attend.
Most of our no-shows tend to be new members who RSVP for all events as soon as they join and then never confirm or log in again and "no-show", or change to a "no" at the last minute. If this means perhaps waiting until closer to the date to RSVP, that might be a good idea.
All that being said, again, welcome and happy reading!
