ELK PEN & ISLAND POND MOUNTAIN LOOP
This is a great hike with variety of terrains and great views of the entire area. The hike starts out on the Appalachian Trail and climbs up to Island Pond. The trail winds through Lemon Squeezer and then up to Island Pond Mountain. You may spot many animals such as lizards, snake, deer and frogs and find some edible blueberry shrubs on the top of the mountains. Downloading the offline map is recommended since there are so many intersecting trails to explores in this area.

TANDEM HANG GLIDING

The morning will start with a safety briefing and instruction, and you will be towed in a tandem hang glider to 2,500 ft above ground with an 'USPHA' rated tandem instructor at your side, then release to fly freely like a bird and land safely on wheels. They video each flight with an on board camera. (Video costs additional $40)

TANDEM SAILPLANE GLIDING
Ever want to fly or glide a plane without an engine. Here is is your chance. The introductory rides give you the opportunity to fly with an FAA certified commercial pilot or instructor. Choose from either our basic trainer or high performance glider. A rugged single engine tow plane will tow you to approx 2500 feet above ground level (AGL) where you will pull the release and experience free flight!

HOWE CAVERNS
Howe Caverns is a limestone solutional cave, operated as a show cave, in the hamlet of Howes Cave, Schoharie County, New York. Howe Caverns is a popular tourist attraction, providing visitors with a sense of caving or spelunking, without needing the advanced equipment and training usually associated with such adventures.

On your journey you will wind through limestone corridors, pass through cavernous galleries, walk under massive boulders, and take a serene boat ride on a subterranean riverbed carved over countless millennia. The cave is 52°F (11°C) so a jacket or sweatshirt and closed-toed comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Flip flops are NOT permitted in the cave. LAKE GEORGE
Lake George is a town in New York’s vast, protected Adirondack region of mountains and old-growth forest. The town sits on the lake of the same name. On the shore, the Fort William Henry Museum & Restoration is a restored British fort, built in 1755. Nearby, Million Dollar Beach has picnic areas and a boat launch. We will be staying in Barberry Court Motel & Cabins. We will max out at 15 people. The motel is 3 minutes drive to downtom Lake George (1 mile;16 minutes walk).

Drive ~3 hours (150 miles) to Howe Caverns ($29.50), located in Howes Cave, NY.
• Arrive at Howe Caverns (~9:50 AM)
• Book the Traditional Tour (1.5 hours): includes walking and underground boat ride
• Optional: explore the Secret Caverns nearby for a quirky, waterfall-filled cave
AFTERNOON
• Lunch: Eat at the Howe Caverns Café or drive 10 minutes to Cobleskill for local diners
• Drive ~1.5 hours (80 miles) to Lake George
• Grocery shopping before checking into the house
EVENING
• Stroll along Canada Street and Shepard Park
• Dinner at The Log Jam Restaurant or lakeside dining at Lake George Beach Club
DAY 2: Lake George Adventures → NYC
MORNING
• Cook & have Breakfast
• Head to Prospect Mountain Foliage Hike. 2.8-mile, 1532 feet elevation gain, CHALLENGING hike for panoramic views of Lake George and the Adirondacks (~2.5 to 3 hours). Bring hiking boots or hiking shoes, clothes to change, hat & sunblock.
AFTERNOON
• Lunch: Dine at Monte Cristos or another restaurant
• Visit Fort William Henry Museum & Restoration
• Interactive exhibits and reenactments from the French & Indian War
• Choose one:
• Adirondack Extreme Adventure Course ($55): zip lines, rope bridges, treetop fun

HIKE LABYRINTH & LEMON SQUEEZE
Enjoy this 4.9-miles trail with 649 feet elevation gain in Mohonk Mountain, New York. Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 2 h 30 min to complete.
Route: Hikers will pass by Lake Mohonk before following the Labyrinth Trail up to the Albert K. Smiley Memorial Tower. The Labyrinth is a narrow rocky corridor hikers will need to scramble through a maze of boulders, ladders, and tight squeezes, this is a fun challenge. Kids especially love this section of trail.
Hightlight: The Lemon Squeezer, a narrow rock crevice that you climb through to reach panoramic views.
Finish: Reah the Skytop Tower for 360 views of the Shawangunk Ridge.

After the hike, we will have picnic lunch near Mohonk Lake, taking in the beautiful fall foliage (Please bring your sandwich).
NOTE: There is $15 entrance fee per person to the trail, payable to parking attendant. Please bring $15 cash. Also, we are heading to this hike much earlier than normal due to the expected very busy weekend.

Optionally, we can go for wine tasting at Robibero Winery before heading back to NYC.
