Experience one of New York City’s most famous holiday attractions — the Dyker Heights Christmas Lights in Brooklyn! Join fellow New York Social Network members and friends for an unforgettable evening exploring this dazzling winter wonderland filled with over-the-top Christmas decorations, glowing Santas, sleighs, and twinkling snowmen.
Every December, Dyker Heights transforms into a world-famous holiday destination with homes decorated in millions of lights, inflatables, and synchronized music. It’s one of the best Christmas light displays in NYC — and we’ll take you right into the heart of it.
🌟 How It Works
Meet-Up:
We’ll gather from 6:00–6:30 PM at The Playwright Irish Pub in Midtown Manhattan for socializing and drinks before the adventure begins.
Travel to Dyker Heights:
At around 6:30 PM, we’ll take the R train to 86th Street in Brooklyn (approximately 45 minutes). From there, it’s a short 15-minute walk to the spectacular lights.
Prefer to meet us in Brooklyn? You can meet the group directly at the 86th Street Station around 7:30 PM.
The Experience:
We’ll stroll through the neighborhood streets to take in the incredible light displays, festive music, and holiday cheer. Afterward, we’ll head to a local Brooklyn café for food, drinks, and great conversation.

Ages: All are welcome (most attendees are adults)
Dress Code: Dress warmly and wear comfortable shoes — there’s plenty of walking on hilly streets!
Weather Policy: In case of bad weather, we’ll cancel or reschedule and offer a credit or refund.
Coming Solo? Most guests come alone — it’s a friendly, social experience and a great way to meet new people during the holidays!

Illness Protocols/Refunds
This event is nonrefundable unless canceled. If you have tested positive for Covid or are sick with any ailment that prohibits you from attending, we will do our best to provide you with credits for select future events with a copy of your positive test results or doctor’s note. Credits may or may not equal the cost of the event missed and may only be applied to events selected by NYSN.

The 1st Annual Christmas Cartoon Hall of Fame Gala & Mystery Party
Get ready for the most scandalously festive night of the season! The North Pole is rolling out the red (and green) carpet for all your favorite classic Christmas cartoon characters — from Rudolph and Frosty to the Grinch, Yukon Cornelius, and Charlie Brown — as they gather for the 1st Annual Christmas Cartoon Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony.
It’s the ultimate holiday bash — complete with eggnog, gossip, and a touch of Christmas chaos! Characters are schmoozing, campaigning for their Hall of Fame nominations, and indulging in some inter-cartoon rivalries, rumored affairs, and frosty attitudes. But just as the festivities reach their peak, the unthinkable happens and it is up to you to help solve the mystery…
🎁 What to Expect
🎄 7:00 PM – Arrival & Check-In:
Step into the magic as you arrive at the venue and check in with our cheerful staff. You’ll receive your character assignment for the evening’s mystery — unless you’ve already reserved one in advance (character lists will be sent out closer to the event!).
🍸 Mix, Mingle & Munch:
Grab a festive cocktail, order a bite to eat, and enjoy mingling with your fellow guests as anticipation builds. (Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go.)
🕵️‍♀️ The Party Begins:
Once everyone’s checked in, the party kicks off! You will become one of the characters in the story and get to interact with all the others! You’ll work your way through a web of clues, secrets, and scandal as you chat and interact with other partygoers to solve The Case.

Follow clever clues, solve riddles, and uncover the truth about Santa’s missing elves as you race through the midtown Manhattan classic decorations.
🎄 The Route:
You’ll explore NYC’s most dazzling holiday lights and decorations—from Herald Square (34th St.) to Rockefeller Center (50th St.), spanning 5th to 8th Avenue. Expect twinkling displays, iconic landmarks, and plenty of photo ops!
🏆 The Goal:
You’ll have 120 minutes to find as many clues as possible. The team with the most correct answers wins a prize and eternal holiday bragging rights!

Follow their digital breadcrumbs, uncover NYC’s festive secrets, and solve the mystery before Christmas Eve arrives! Along the way, you’ll discover hidden gems, NYC holiday history, and sparkling decorations that make the city magical this time of year.
