Empowering End Users With Self Service Business Intelligence

Session description:

Microsoft SQL Server 2012 provides tools that enable the implementation of a self-service business intelligence (BI) framework. This session will provide a case study of the self-service BI solution being implemented at Massey University. This session will provide an overview of Massey University, lessons learnt during this implementation, and a demonstration of their environment. Microsoft tools which will be demonstrated are: MS SQL Server 2012 Analysis Services; MS SQL Server 2012 Master Data Services; MS SharePoint 2013; MS Excel 2013.

Jean van Schalkwyk is a senior consultant with information management specialist, Altis Consulting. Jean has over 10 years’ experience and has expertise in BI and Master Data Management – strategy, architecture, analysis and design specialising in Microsoft’s BI suite of applications.
