This group started in August 2012 with the name New Zealand Business Intelligence and Power BI User Group. This group covers all technical sessions about Microsoft Data, BI, AI, and Power BI technologies, and Microsoft Fabric. We cover topics on data analysis, analytics, and information management. Our session covers introductory to the expert-level audience. We cover technologies below: Fabric Power BI, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, MDX, Data Mining, Master Data Services, DQS, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, Cortana Analytics… Our meetings usually scheduled at least once a month in Microsoft Auckland.
This group is an official Power BI User Group of Microsoft.

Session Description:
- Installation of Semantic Link Labs
- Service Principal Authentication
- Optimizing Lakehouse's and Reports
- Formatting all DAX Expressions in your semantic model
- Copy or clone your report to a different app workspace
- Exporting a report or semantic model to PBIP (This often happens when the person who created the report has left your organisation)
- Show Lakehouse tables
- Connect to the Tabular Object Model (What is the Tabular Object Model) and view Incremental Refresh Policy
- Bonus: Update the Incremental Refresh Policy to keep data for last 3 years.
- View UDF’s
