Ramblers GB is suspending all volunteer activities from Wednesday 18 March 2020. This includes group led walks, Walking for Health schemes, all training including walk leadership training, path maintenance working groups, coach trips and holidays, meetings, group and social events. All Ramblers activities must stop until further notice. This applies from Wednesday 18 March, to at least until 31 May, subject to further developments.

Norfolk Area Ramblers offer walks around Norfolk and East Anglia led by volunteers from our various groups.

We are part of the national Ramblers charity and we welcome new members and walk leaders.

This meetup group will list just a small selection of the various walks and social events which are operated by the groups which form part of Norfolk Area Ramblers. Please note that although our Meetup group is free to join and it's free to come along to try us out - we do ask that you join the Ramblers if you attend more than three events.

Please note that Hike Norfolk now have their own home on Meetup at https://www.meetup.com/hikenorfolk/

Further information about the Ramblers in Norfolk can be found at http://www.norfolkra.org.uk/

There is a complete list of walks at http://www.norfolkra.org.uk/.

The groups are:

• Breckland

• Fakenham

• Great Yarmouth and District

• Hike Norfolk

• King's Lynn and District

• Legstretchers

• Mid-Norfolk

• Norwich

• Sheringham

• Short and Leisurely

• Southern Norfolk

• Wensum

Any member of Ramblers is able to attend any walk or event and details of joining are available at http://www.ramblers.org.uk/. Potential members who wish to attend a walk before joining are more than welcome.

With walks, you don't need to RSVP and you can just turn up. However, it's helpful for walk leaders to know who is coming and the numbers, so RSVP if you can. For social events, or where a space has been booked for you (such as on a train or bus) please do all you can to turn up, as you may be holding a space that someone else can use. However, if you can't make it (and we know that happens), then please change your RSVP to 'no' as soon as you can.
