Druid: An Open Source Real-time Analytical Data Store - Strata NYC

Druid is a rockin' exploratory analytical data store capable of offering interactive query of big data in realtime - as data is ingested. Druid cost effectively drives 10's of billions of events per day for the Metamarkets platform, and Metamarkets is committed to building Druid in open source. This presentation will introduce Druid and explain the history and reasoning behind the platform and architecture as well as Druid in practice at scale and building druid applications.

Fangjin Yang, Software Engineer, Metamarkets

Fangjin is one of the first developers to Metamarkets and the Druid project. He works on all levels and aspects of Druid development, as well as providing support for the community. Fangjin holds a BASc in Electrical Engineering and a MASc in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo, Canada.
