Suggestions for presentation topics and meetings...

Hey all,

I'm really sorry it's been so long since I put anything on the schedule, but I've officially quit my job so that I can focus entirely on Open Source projects and community efforts... The kids will just have to starve. Not really, just looking for the next great gig, hopefully with more Python!

I've suggested a meetup for this month, back to third Thursdays, just a fun meet-and-greet happy hour at our favorite pub. I'm open to other suggestions for a place, if World of Beer ain't your bag, and after the New Year (is it really that close!? O_O) we should start with some show-and-tells and regular presentations. Anyone have a suggestion for something?

I've got tons of experience writing with Python web frameworks that I'll happily share, but Python has such a broad application scope: data mining, web scraping, statistical analysis, 2D games, embedded systems. Surely someone is doing something interesting that doesn't involve Django and Postgres, right? So throw out your ideas for things you're working with right now, things you've heard of and would like to learn more about, or anything you can think of...! Let's get 'em on the schedule!
