Inaugural Meeting to Introduce The Charlotte Payments Initiative

The objective of this initiative is to attract payments companies and encourage new payment ventures to capitalize on Charlotte’s deep pool of experience payments professionals.

This will be a high level discussion to determine the potential strategies to take advantage of this competitive advantage. The discussion will address:

1. The creation of an organization that connect payments professionals to network, learn and assist one another

2. Collaboration among key payments leaders across different industries to develop a collective vision for the community in Charlotte

3. Partnership with City/Chamber to leverage this into job creation through attraction strategies

4. Partnership with entrepreneurial groups/incubators to foster new businesses opportunities

This is a community collaboration effort including; Charlotte Chamber, City of Charlotte, Packard Place, UNC Charlotte Computing & Infomatics, Ben Craig Center & CRI, and local executives with payments sector expertise.
