ParisHackers Meetup #5

We are excited to confirm our next meetup, on June 28th!

Our Twitter account is @ParisHackers and the official hashtag for the event is #ParisHackers.

As always, we'll discuss trendy buzzwords firing up on Hacker News, we'll have beer & pizzas while socializing and we'll have a couple invited speakers, though everybody is always welcomed to take the stage.

As discussed last time, this is our first meetup with a (small) fee. Everything will be spent on better food and drinks.

BTW, we're also organizing the largest JavaScript conference in France on November, 30th: dotJS. Check it out!

I appreciate the cool idea of teleconferencing with guys who are in California at a top developer event. Unfortunately, we all read the headlines during the day and it's very hard for them to tell us anything we don't already know. Added to the bad audio that is hard to understand, I would strongly recommend skipping that idea. I'd rather hear a few more lighting talks, either about local startups, or about any kind of dev topic.

A solid event as always. The product pitch from the first speaker was a little out of place, and the random Russian woman was, well, random, but the rest of the presentations were engaging and relevant to the interests of the crowd.

Tout était nickel, à part la visio sur Google qui était pas évidente à suivre.

Great meetup with a cool agenda, nice people, easy venue! It was 5$, pizzas were amazing, and organizers even bought ice creams (it was freakin' hot). Definitely worth coming :)

The two presentations and the demonstration were great. We should definitely ask for interventions beforehand (on the mailing list and meetup) and make a webpage with who's hiring, who's for hire and who wants counseling so that it doesn't interfere with the global spirit of "teach us something, show us some cool hacks", the best being "teach us some cool hacks". :)
