See all- Silent Book Club - Vic Park Community Space (Chapter 8: Back Again)Vic Park Community Space, Perth
Have you been looking for a book club that doesn't require you to read a specific book or participate in a formal discussion?
Look no further than The Silent Book Club, a global movement that has taken root in our community. Join us for an afternoon of quiet reading in the company of friends and peers. Here's what to expect:
On the last Sunday of every month, we'll gather to read at the old stomping ground of the Vic Park Community Space (enter via Miller St, Victoria Park) !
At 2 pm, join us to chat with other readers about what you're currently reading and books in general. If you arrive before 2pm, feel free to grab a coffee from the nearby cafรฉ (Modus is around the corner on Albany Hwy)
From 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm, we'll observe an hour of silence as we read our books together. To signal the end of the reading session, a 55-minute timer will be set.
At 3:30 pm, you're welcome to leave or stay and socialise with fellow book lovers.
This event is set to occur monthly, and we look forward to seeing you there!

๐ค Talking Points: Improv Meets Absurd PowerPoint
Get ready to deliver ridiculous speeches based on surprise slides youโve never seen before! In this hilarious Jackbox game, one player presents while another secretly controls the visuals. Whether youโre winging it like a TED Talk pro or crashing gloriously, itโs all part of the fun. No prep, just laughs.
This is a Jackbox game that I have never played before. I think it might be something fun to do to an alternative Activate Mental Health format that has never been run. If we get bored of this game, we will play other Jackbox games Like Quiplash, Fibbage and Drawful.
