This is rescheduled from July 28th. Due to wet grass!
Please note: After this shoot we will be having a kind of mini picnic in the park (weather permitting) So please bring something to drink (Can of red stripe, White Lightening or whatever is your favourite) and some snacks! This is so we can lie down in some grass and share a drink or two instead of the normal after shoot pub thing.
This week we will be looking at Cd covers and grass.
We will be designing/photographing a cd cover for the justifiably little know song by Charlie Peacock. It was first released in 1983 to virtually no acclaim.
Its rubbish. But we needn't let that worry us. Its a great title and thats all that should concern us for this brief.
We are going to look at this literally and shoot images of grass.
This can be anything from a macro shot of tiny grass seeds to someone lying down in the grass to an arty, soft focus blur of sunlight glinting on a sea of grasses.
Its up to you. All you need to do is remember that you need to make room for the text.
We will be talking about balance in an image, composition and what is called copy space.
As usual, there will be detailed feedback on your TWO submitted images
The image must be square. Colour or Black & white. And if you want to you can add the text "Lie down in the grass" "Charlie Peacock". But if you do, the text will become integral to the image and will be discussed by the group with as much vigour as the photo (Usually more in fact! :)
Thanks and see you Sunday.
