About us
Piccadilly Ski Club is a Chicago non-profit skiing, snowboarding and activity club based in the Chicago western suburbs. We are a friendly and adventurous group and like to keep active, socialize and travel. We welcome single people and couples to join us. Ages in our club range from 30 to 70, very active adults. Piccadilly members reside in the Downers Grove and surrounding areas, even as far away as South Carolina, Arkansas and Florida.
Since we plan events all year round, there are many opportunities to meet and make new friends through a wide variety of activities, such as skiing, golf, biking, social gatherings, and trips. In our 50+ year history, Piccadilly has planned hundreds of events locally, and traveled the globe extensively. We've taken ski trips throughout the US and Canada, as well as Europe and New Zealand. Non-ski adventures in our club’s travel history have taken us to Antigua, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Finger Lakes NY, Jamaica, Key West, Mexico, Nashville and New Orleans. Join us today to make new friends and go on your next great adventure.
Club Meetings start at 7:00pm on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays from August thru April; and during the summer months we meet the first Thursday in May, June & July at Miller's Ale House, 455 E Butterfield Road in Lombard, Illinois.

Bird Banding & Birding Hike, Banding 9am/ Hike 10am.
Camp Sagawau, 12545 111th St, Lemont, IL, USBanding 9am/ Hike 10am** Here’s your opportunity to experience an actual bird in hand and to release back into the wild. This will be an exclusive Piccadilly event as they know us now and are providing a special event just for us.
We will observe master bird handlers weigh and examine various species of birds migrating to our region. This is the best time for spring migration. As the expert naturalists band and examine the birds, they will share many factual pieces of information that are unique and interesting about each species of bird they handle. A great chance to see birds closer than you ever imagined before. After the banding, we can hike with our birding expert(s) for about 1 mile and see what we can spot from the trail. Bring your binoculars, and if you don’t have a pair we will find you some to use, bring water and wear comfortable shoes. If you haven’t started a lifetime birding list, this would be a great time to start. There are some great birding apps that can simplify the bird identification, calls, similar birds and behavior and I’ll be glad to share the ones I know with you.
We hope to gather for lunch after the hike, lunch site TBD. Join us for some great birding! See you on the trail! Sign up on Meet Up so we know to look for you. For any questions contact John O @ jfosullivan56@att.net
