Piccadilly Ski Club is a Chicago non-profit skiing, snowboarding and activity club based in the Chicago western suburbs. We are a friendly and adventurous group and like to keep active, socialize and travel. We welcome single people and couples to join us. Ages in our club range from 30 to 70, very active adults. Piccadilly members reside in the Downers Grove and surrounding areas, even as far away as South Carolina, Arkansas and Florida.
Since we plan events all year round, there are many opportunities to meet and make new friends through a wide variety of activities, such as skiing, golf, biking, social gatherings, and trips. In our 50+ year history, Piccadilly has planned hundreds of events locally, and traveled the globe extensively. We've taken ski trips throughout the US and Canada, as well as Europe and New Zealand. Non-ski adventures in our club’s travel history have taken us to Antigua, Costa Rica, Curacao, Dominican Republic, Finger Lakes NY, Jamaica, Key West, Mexico, Nashville and New Orleans. Join us today to make new friends and go on your next great adventure.
Club Meetings start at 7:00pm on the 1st & 3rd Thursdays from August thru April; and during the summer months we meet the first Thursday in May, June & July at Miller's Ale House, 455 E Butterfield Road in Lombard, Illinois.

Join us on Thursday, June 1, for our PSC General Meeting 7 pm at Miller’s Ale House located at 455 E. Butterfield Rd, Lombard, just across the street from Yorktown shopping center. We are in the private room, closest to Butterfield Rd (north side of building). Come early to order your food and drinks. Don’t forget, this our only meeting in June!
We meet only once a month (the first Thursday of the month for May, June and July but we will go back to 2 meetings a month in August). Please reply to the meeting notice on Meet-Up. Our club needs to provide an accurate head count at least one week before the meeting, so please reply before that.

Join Piccadilly at Fishel Park Concerts - Chicago Tribute Anthology Band, 7pm This great Chicago tribute band can bring back memories when Chicago was all over the hit charts! Bring your chair and blanket. We’ll be there at 6pm; concert runs 7-8:30pm. Bring your own food & beverage, however, no outside alcohol allowed. Alcoholic drinks can be purchased at the park. We usually meet toward the front of the park, on the south side, by the vendors adjacent to Grove Street. Look for a variation of Red, White and Blue balloon/flag to find our group. The park is located at 1000 Grove St., Downers Grove - just west of Main St. (behind Emmett’s). Sign up on Meet-Up so we know who to look for at the concert. Sat June 10, Paddle Tampier Lake Then Lakeside BYO Picnic, Meet a little before 10am. This is a fun event when the weather cooperates. We will be paddling for our 3rd season, so come on out and enjoy some outdoor fun if you never have yet. You never know what may happen to make it memorable. For you paddlers, there is a nice boat ramp to bring your own boat (no gas motors) or you can rent! Don’t like to paddle? Come out an hour later for the picnic and some outdoor fun with friends.
Here are the details: Tampier Lake is located near Orland Park at 131st and Wolf Rd. in Cook County. Parking, launch and rentals are on the south side of 131st just west of Wolf Road. Rentals are first come first served. Rentals open at 9am. You can call if you want to check availability[masked]. This is what they have for rent: Single Kayak - $20/hr; Rowboat, Canoe - $25/hr; Tandem Kayak - $30/hr; Fishing Boat with Battery & Trolling Motor (2 hr min) - $25/hr.
They also have a concession stand for food, beverages and fishing bait. There are nice restrooms at the boathouse building. Be there a little before 10am to rent or launch your boat at their easy in and out boat ramp. The picnic will follow as paddlers finish. We will set up a blue shade tent just west of the boat house. Bring your sunhat, sunscreen, picnic chair, water, and food, along with a beverage of choice for the picnic. This is a fishing lake, so you can also fish from your boat or shore.

Wed – Sat, June 14 - 17 Bean Blossom Bluegrass Festival, Morgantown Indiana Come join us for a unique event in Brown County, Indiana, about an hour south of Indianapolis. Looks like some strumming and picking is in the works at this music festival on June 14-17th. The Bill Monroe Bluegrass Festival is one of the longest running ones in the country. This annual event is held in beautiful Brown County, Indiana, at the historic Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground. There will be 22 bands playing at the event. Bluegrass music will be hard on stage and you may also hear some around the campground. There will also be workshops and the traditional free Bean Dinner – a true highlight of the festival. Hotels are available in the area, cabins and campsites available in the music park. The Park is also pet friendly.
Please note: If you are planning to come with a camper or motor home, contact Don so we coordinate sites and secure water, electric hookups. This will facilitate securing a meeting site for group meals or just a place to gather all the people in our club.
