Permaculture is the conscious creation of a regenerative system that reflects the inherent balance, stability, and harmony of nature. We will be exploring the integration of healthy patterns & relationships found in nature to support harmonious home life & effective parenting.

For an introduction to the concept of Permaculture Parenting, join us on Thursday May 31 at the Village Building Convergence (St. David's of Wales Church) for an evening workshop: Applying Permaculture Principles to Home Life. On June 2 from 1-4,we will explore a Zones and Sectors Analysis toward achieving simplicity, rhythm and reverence in our family life.

This series will be taught by April Blair and Kelly Hogan of Mother Earth School. They received their Permaculture Design Certificates in 2009 and have been integrating permaculture into their work with young children as well as with their own families & communities.

We are excited to host this workshop at a very special location. Parking for Jean's Farm is available roadside on 36th Ave. south of Johnson Creek Blvd. From 36th Ave, there is a crosswalk to cross Johnson Creek Blvd. Go right past the mailboxes and after the section of wooden fence you will see black chain link fence with a sign on the gate that says "Jean's Urban Farm". You have arrived! Please make sure to close the gate behind you and please be mindful of parking in the residential area. We want the neighbors to be happy to have our guests parking on their street!

Prior exposure to permaculture will be helpful, but is not required to participate. For more course info, please email info [at] motherearthschool.com
