Join us for Programming Night at the Ballard Branch Library!

Building Access:
Location: We will be in the library's meeting room, it is immediately to your left as you enter the front door (before the restrooms and the front desk).
Parking: There is free parking available to visitors in the library's garage which is located below the building.

What we'll do:
Programming night is a low-key gathering of like minded folks interested in Python. Come to work on your Python project, class work, join a project, talk about Python, get help or give help. People of all skill levels and backgrounds are welcome to join us, even if you've never written a line of Python before.

What to bring:
Attendees are encouraged to bring a computer to this event.
Effective April 6th 2023, PuPPy is deferring to the guidelines of it's host venues when it comes to recommending masks for programming nights. As SPL encourages but does not require masks in public areas, masking at this event is encouraged but not required. Please keep this in mind and participate only to the level you are safe and comfortable with. We thank you in advance for your cooperation on this.

Description: A description of for-else, while-else, and try-else clauses in python and how you can use them, both for practical value and to show off your knowledge of obscure python. Probably a bit of history will be included as well.

What to bring:

Since this is a talk format meetup, you don't need a computer. WiDS is providing food for the event.

Building access:

The elevators lock at 6pm. GitHub is willing to let people in until 6:30pm. If you arrive after 6:30pm we unfortunately cannot guarantee you will be able to access the event.

Parking:

There is paid parking in the Skyline garage underneath the building, accessible via 110th Ave NE between 4th and 6th going southbound only

Transit:
GitHub is near the Bellevue Downtown link station and the Bellevue transit center which provide attendees with a number of options for getting to tonight's event.
