WHY DO THIS?
SOCIAL ASPECT: Groups of people from High School, College and the Corporate community all take part in this activity. Building a friendship and a strong boat is key.
WORKOUT: Arms, Back, legs, shoulder, and everything else is hurting after a paddle. Stamina and muscle is built throughout the year to get that long, heavy boat moving quickly in the water.
ACCOMPLISHMENT: Some of us look forward to wining medals at a race, but a lot of us try to work hard so we push our bodies farther than we thought we could. That is my major accomplishment.
ATMOSPHERE: There's nothing like taking a boat out on the water early morning... with the sun just rising up or at night with the calm water, or sun setting then the moon and stars out. Even though your paddling hard, it's still a really nice getaway for a few hours.
