Hi Everyone , the forecast is for rain in the A.M so please be prepared .

We did thishttp://photos1.meetupstatic.com/photos/event/b/a/4/2/event_114347682.jpeg hike a back in November and it is really nice hike . I am sure the waterfalls will be flowing pretty good ..There is plenty to see on this hike and the trails are great .It is 7.5 miles with 800' of vertical rise and is classified as a moderate to strenuous hike at a fast pace .There are lots of little hills so be prepared to work for it .The hike boast a 60' high waterfall ( could be a trickle ) along with the turbulent Eight Mile River ( or a dry river bed ) . Throughout this hike we will pass beneath groves of great trees , primarily hemlocks .There will be a little scrambling into the Devils Oven . The park is also known for its giant trees. The book estimates the time at 4.5 hours .It can l be done in a lot less time maybe 3 -3.5 hours .We will hike at a moderate to fast pace . Good foot ware required . Please bring plenty of water ,food and insect repellent . We will meet at the Park & Ride at 9:00 and carpool from there . It will take about 45 minutes from there . We should be at trail head by 10:00.

See you Saturday ,

Tony
