Presentation by Percussa on SYNTHOR - The Wireless AudioCube Modular Instrument

I have a very special meetup for you in March. I found out Bert and Celine from Percussa will be in San Francisco to show off their new wireless AudioCube modular SYNTHOR at the Sync 01 event. I've convinced them to come to Colorado after their stop at the Sync 01. So they are flying out to Denver just to give us an early look at their new instrument Synthor! We'll also have a cool after-meetup performance by member Brendan Haskins.

Note: we're taking April off so don't miss this opportunity to check out SYNTHOR, meet Bert and Celine, hang out with your synth geek friends, and enjoy Brendan's set.

Bert, the designer of the Percussa AudioCubes, will be demoing SYNTHOR which is a digital modular synthesizer he built for the AudioCubes. In SYNTHOR, every AudioCube represents a synth module. Simply by placing cubes next to each other synth modules are wirelessly patched. By changing the distance between the cubes, the amplitude of the modulation signals between the modules can be changed. During his presentation Bert will also demo the new visualization features which he recently built into SYNTHOR as well as talk about the new hardware products he’s currently working on. Brendan joined the Synthesizer meetup in July of 2013. His longstanding interest in electronic music production is informed by a diverse background that ranges from classical flute performance to traditional Irish music to electronica. As a DJ, he concentrates on lounge/trip-hop and deep house; for his original work, he leans toward a style that is more introspective and cinematic. His production workflow is built around Ableton Live and, over the last six years, has become increasingly focused on vintage hardware. He will be using Live and the Arturia Beatstep Pro to share works in progress.
