A really great folk blue grass band called Brownsmead Flats is performing at the Clatsop Community Performing Arts Center a show they wrote called Hitchin' that sounds like a lot of fun. I bought my ticket and am combining going to see the show Saturday night (7:30, doors open at 7:00) with a ride before followed by dinner/drinks at Fort George Brewery. People will also also make their own arrangements for hotels for overnight and purchase their own tickets for the show. If you go to the brownbag link you can read more about the performance.
This is the ride:
This is info on the show: Hitchin' is a musical written by the Brownsmead Flats about a young man hitch hiking across the country in the year 1970.The story revolves around the encounters he has with a variety of people he meets on the road. It has been produced in 1997, 1999 and 2004.
I stayed at Comfort Suites and for $116. you can get two queens, a view of the river, be on the river walk, breakfast, a sitting area, fridge, microwave etc.
So buy your ticket quick, Kerry called and in the past they have sold out this show.
Each will be responsible for their own costs. Which are estimated to be $15 for the show, hotel of your choice, lunch, drinks, dinner, breakfast, gas to get there ($[masked]?).
