SALT CREEK BEACH IN LAGUNA NIGUEL

Join me for Earth Day on Tuesday April 22nd. All trains are FREE!!
This year I plan to spend the day at Salt Creek Beach in Dana Point.
I have never been here and I am very excited to check out this area.
We can walk along the beach, stroll along the 4 mile creek trail and enjoy the ocean views and check out the surfers. To add, we will walk above the beach along the bluffs with spectacular views. In addition, the bluffs also offer picnic areas and there are places to eat along the way.The Plan:
8:40 am, board the OC 608 at L.A. Union Station. Arrive in Laguna Niguel by 9:58 am.
Take the free Laguna Niguel Trolley North line to Crown Valley park then transfer to South Line Ritz Carlton. The trolley (10 mins) drops us off at the Ritz Carlton Hotel and we follow a paved path to the sand and surf.The Return:
5:02 pm, board the OC 626 at Laguna Niguel. Arrive in LA by 6:20pm
Note: We will return the same way we came so we need to be mindful of the 330 ish turnaround time and board the free shuttle which runs every 20 minutes. However, you do have the option of departing a later train and Uber to the train station. The last train departs at 7:02 pm and the free Trolley runs till 6pm.Please Note: This is a tentative plan for the day!!!
First on the agenda is to walk along the beach. Then walk above the bluffs, enjoy a picnic lunch or we can find a place to eat.
As we get closer to the date we can make changes. If time permits we can check out the Ritz Carlton which sits above the cliffs, The Waldorf Astoria or other places of interest.

Please arrive early at the L.A. Union Metrolink. Pay attention to which platform you need to be on. I will be wearing my green CDH hat. You can find me in the lobby between 8-8:25 am but, I will not be waiting long. If you do not see me then I am probably waiting to board on the platform.
Just to re-iterate:
plan on leaving Laguna Niguel around 5 pm. The free Trolley runs till 6pm, and we can board the Metrolink train at 5:02 pm.I look forward to a fun day with the group!
WHAT TO BRING: A POSITIVE ATTITUDE!! extra cash for shopping, water, snacks, good walking shoes, jacket, hat, poles if you like.
