Since Biml and Mist revolutionized the generation of SSIS packages a few years ago a wave of new DW projects utilizing some form of metadata driven automation has emerged. In this presentation Peter Hansen provides an overview of some of the more common approaches to automation using Biml and Mist and talks about his experiences with automation and metadata driven development and frameworks before introducing design patterns and ideas for future automation work and projects. The presentation focuses on structuring metadata and defining design patterns as well as introducing some of the core concepts of working with Biml and Mist.
