We're going on a wine tasting trip to a few places in Southern Michigan.
We'll meet up at Jedi's Garden,
444 W Ridge Rd, Griffith, IN 46319
We will have the option to carpool.
Good evening everyone,
Thanks for signing up for our January 2012 Wine tasting trip!
We have a total group of 9 signed up at this point (one is just for breakfast).
Breakfast is at 10 AM at Jedi’s garden in Griffith. We leave at 11 AM on the dot.
My cell is [masked] if you need to call me. If you are meeting us up there, call me to confirm where we will be at any given time.
Here is the updated itinerary. The wineries are on Eastern Time:
1. 1. Free Run Cellars Tasting Room in Union Pier (Arriving at 11:45/12:45 EST)
2. 2. Hickory Creek (Arriving at 2 PM EST) - http://www.facebook.com/HickoryCreekWinery
3. 3. Round Barn - http://www.roundbarnwinery.com/
4. 4.Tabor Hill - www.taborhill.com
5. 5. Domaine Berrien Cellars - http://www.domaineberrien.com/
6. 6. Lemon Creek Winery (http://www.lemoncreekwinery.com/)
7. 7. Founders Wine Cellar (time permitting) http://www.founderswinecellar.com/
Dinner at Baroda tap and grille, 8906 1st St, Baroda, MI (5:30EST) - Check out information, pictures and menu items at: http://www.barodatapandgrille.com/
9. We will be leaving about 5:30 our time and making the short drive back. I estimate we will be back to Jedi’s garden by 6:40ish PM. (Most of the driving will be on I 94).
I left the times off after the first 2 stops as our schedule may vary depending on how long we decide to stay. We may decide to leave off a few stops depending upon time. Many of the locations are within a very short driving distance of each other. However, having fun is what this is about so we don’t want to push the schedule if we are having fun somewhere.
Generally some of the locations charge $5 or so for a Wine tasting fee that can be deducted off of a purchase. Dinner will be at a reasonably priced and nice restaurant nearby.
Is there still room left? We can take a few more with us if you have friends that would like to go. Please let me know ASAP though so we don’t overbook. The Wineries prefer advance notice for any large groups.
I’ll see you all in the morning. Below are a few videos to check out if you are interested in seeing some of this in advance.
Best Wishes,
Mike
