This isn't an official Meetup for our group, but the NLP Café folks have been friends and supporters of this group.

They also have the longest running NLP practice group on the planet, so they are doing something right.

Here's the info:

The NLP Cafe meets in Mountain View, at the Ramada Silicon Valley at 55 Fairchild Dr, Mountain View.
7:00PM to 9:30PM (may stay open longer for socializing)
Contact  Tracy Hoobyar for info:  [address removed] or (775)[masked]

Program for Thursday, February 7, 2013

Sylvia Kurpanek is going to talk about Limbic Coaching™, a highly effective short-term coaching tool she developed that uniquely combines a variety of techniques and include the limbic system (the "emotional brain"):

bilateral brain hemisphere stimulation ("Awake REM", bilateral auditory stimulation and bilateral tactile stimulation carried out according to a particular protocol)

muscle feedback (a muscle response test based on a particular protocol that allows to detect the client's stress triggers, to identify the correct starting point for the coaching and evaluate its effectiveness)
elements from NLP
solution-focused communication

The use of "Awake REM" and other methods of bilateral stimulation make it possible to leverage a natural capacity we all possess to help clients process emotions and stress and hence use their brain to work for, rather than against, their best interest.

In this NLP Cafe session you will learn about the components of Limbic Coaching™, see a live demonstration of the method and do some hands-on exercises on bilateral tactile stimulation to process particular emotions.

Sylvia is the founder of the Palo Alto Institute for Systemic Coaching and the creator of Limbic Coaching™ and Truly Slim™. She works with different groups of clients and teaches Limbic Coaching™  certification classes internationally.
