Join us for an all day open source scikit-learn Code Sprint with Andreas Mueller!
Work with Andreas Mueller, one of the core developers of the scikit-learn machine learning library, and contribute a new feature or fix.
Andreas Muller is an Asst. Research Engineer At NYU Center For Data Science. He is a speaker at our ODSC West conference (http://opendatascicon.com/) on Nov 14-15th and has generously accepted to do a day code sprint.
We Welcome New Contributors
The code sprint is a great time for new contributors to become familiar with the project. We guarantee you will learn something new, and welcome experts and beginners alike.
Machine Learning in Python
scikit-learn has emerged as one of the most popular open source machine learning toolkits, and is widely used in academia and industry. scikit-learn provides easy-to-use interfaces to perform advanced analysis and build powerful predictive models.
We ask that you read the contributing section of the documentation, and then set up a development environment in which you can install scikit-learn from scratch, build it, and use git to push changes to github.
Please review the documentation prior to the code sprint: http://scikit-learn.org/dev/developers
