MySQL: New Features, Programming Mistakes and Optimization

Dave Stokes of Oracle has offered to host our group for a talk about mysql. He will host it at the Oracle office at 9515 Towne Center Drive, San Diego, CA 92121, and has offered to buy pizza and drinks.

I would personally like to know more about database programming mistakes and optimizing SQL statements.

He is in San Diego for one week, so I am posting the meetup and hopefully everyone will want to attend. If we do not get a decent response, then I will let Dave know so that we do not waste his time.
