The Annisquam River is a tidal estuary that separates Cape Ann from the mainland.  This river offers beautiful sandy beaches, exquisite homes, interesting coves, and inlets to explore.

The plan is to paddle on the Annisquam River and in Lobster Cove, along with a visit to sandy Wingaersheek Beach. If conditions permit, we'll venture along the rocky coves along Gloucester’s northern coast before heading back.

Attractions: Scenic salt marsh; bird-watching; picnicking at Goose Cove Reservation or Wingaersheek Beach.

Open to all Sea and recreational kayaks longer than 12 feet with bulkheads or floatation bags.

Approximate Time: 4-5 hours (with a lunch break at the Island). Total distance will be between 8 and 10 miles.

Important! You will need to be competent in Self and Assisted Rescues. PFD required.

Note: We may encounter some boat traffic and or swells caused by wind, current or tide. We can try to avoid them as much as possible by staying in more protected areas.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
