question about COPPA

I'm based in Italy so won't be able to attend the upcoming meetup on Monday.
But I wanted to know if fellow app developers have ideas on how to
address solicitations from companies that want to get progress reports
from kids to, supposedly, help teachers and parents.

Some companies like SmarTots ask us to add their SDK so our app can
handle kids' signup, etc.

I thought it would be far easier for us, independent developers, to
support x-callback-url documented here: http://x-callback...

For example, an app like SmarTots might list my app inside theirs, and
if a kid wants to play my app, SmarTot would open my app with some
parameters (e.g. start at level N, play only additions, play only 5
minutes) and my app would call back theirs with collected data.

First, it'd be super easy for us developers to implement, and several
different third-party companies such as SmarTots could use the same
x-callback-url to start our apps.

Furthermore, it might protect us against COPPA-related issues: when
our app is called, we don't have any information about who logged in
into their app.

I'd be very happy to hear your feedback,
