Last Wednesday Clojure Coders Meetup

This is the second meetup of the re-inaugurated Singapore Clojure Group. We are a very mixed bunch, from newbies to Clojure to language contributors. We are enthusiastic about learning and using Clojure and promoting it's use through sharing.

• Introduction to the Clojure Meetup group

• Dr Melvin Zhang will present his "Introduction to Lambda Calculus". As some of you know Functional Programming languages have been around a long time, however they are all based upon something much older, Lambda Calculus. Melvin will show how powerful Church's Lambda Calculus is and how it directly relates to Functional languages. this is a great basis from which to understand how to use Languages such as Clojure.

• Kevin Flanagan, a newbie Clojure programmer will follow up with a brief presentation, "Learn Clojure in 15 Minutes" just to demonstrate how easy it is to get started in Clojure and also to showcase just how compact the language is.

• Demos & code reviews, community members can demo any projects, ideas etc they want to get feedback on.
