This is the first Clojure Meetup this year and we are pleased to announce that we have 2 exciting speakers. Clojure Language core contributor Mike Anderson will explore the numerical computing libraries of Clojure with particular application for Data Scientists and we have our very own Gabe Hollombe reporting from his trip to last November's Clojure/CONJ 2015 conference in Philadelphia giving us the low down on new developments coming to Clojure.

Clojure for Numerical ComputingDescription: A walkthrough of Clojure tools for numerical computing and data analytics, with some interesting live-coded examples

Mike Anderson is a major contributor to the Clojure community, most notably as the author and lead maintainer of core.matrix. He is the co-founder of Datacraft, a Singapore based company specialising in advanced data analytics and machine learning. Previously, Mike has worked with multiple startups and as a senior consultant on technology issues at McKinsey & Company.

Tales from Clojure/CONJ 2015: Get the lowdown on what's new, interesting exciting and coming in the Clojure world direct from the principal language conference.

Gabe Hollombe is a lead developer at Neo Innovation and is an experienced software developer of 15 years experience in enterprise software. He is an enthusiastic supporter of Clojure and is one of the co-founders of this meetup.
