Carthew Summit-Alderson Waterton Park

Will hike Carthew-Alderson Summit via Cameron Lake and down ending at Cameron Falls. We will be taking the free shuttle at 9:45am (departs 10am) at Tamarack Mall to Cameron Lake trail head. Marked trail, sun exposure and wind, rocky shale trail near summit. Fantastic views! Dress in layers, check weather day prior and for weather postings. 16.5km, 650m. T4, 3km switchbacks on trail, 1 km meadows subalpine, 4km to reach summit lakes, Alderson Lake trail through trees back to town site end at the falls. Lunch at top then down again. Bear spray mandatory (I bring a marine whistle as well). 4 bottles water, hiking boots, poles, hat, spf, layers, jacket for wind, lots of food. Sense of humour! We are doing a weekend of hiking in Waterton Lakes Park. You can stay in our log cabin (4 females $20-25 per night) or camp for free on our acreage at Twin Butte 16kms from the Park or you can find own accommodations or post to others here to request car share or share hotel etc., tent or local B+B's can be found. Hiking experience required similar elevation and distance. MUST SIGN WAIVER!

Log cabin available to share with 4 females above, RSVP to book. I will add you from the wait list after checking hiking history. Tent no charge, bring tent, towels, sleeping gear, food. In the cabin is a fridge, shower, bathroom, sink, mirror, bunk beds, couch, bed, kitchen, gas stove, heat. Drinking water in fridge. Bring park pass! GEAR - over ankle hiking boots, bear spray, hat, SPF, layers, 4 bottles water, lots of food, whistle optional, hiking pools. Crypt Lake doing Saturday JULY 2nd.
