Let's meet for tennis!! Just bring your rackets and any tennis balls you may have, preferably new ones. We'll rally or play a game or something. SC Tennis Center has 8 courts there but 4 courts available if Park & Rec or USTA has scheduled classes/events.

Before you RSVP, please read:

The tennis center has a reservation and walk-in process. I will check in at the office for the courts under my name. I try to get there as early as possible to snag us courts. If you get there early, please snag us a court/waiting-list spot if the courts are full. If we arrive after-hours, tennis center becomes first-come, first-serve. For those with smartphones, please see the comment section for the court number(s) to find us. I post the court number(s) to the meetup comment section.

I use the Yes (RSVP) as headcount when I check in with the tennis center office when getting court(s). Most of the times, I can get the courts free of charge but be prepare to pay for the access of courts if they are full. Bring small bills. If we have to use the paid reservation route, I will split the cost evenly among the RSVP. Reservation is $8/hour for residents (e.g. worse case scenario: reserving 2 courts for 2 hours = $32. $32.00/8 attendees = $4.00).

If you are coming to watch the rally/cheer at our games or to use the backboard/wall for practice, just mention in comments section. No need to rsvp for backboard nor watching. I use the Yes for court space.

If you cannot make it to tennis, please UPDATE your RSVP status AS SOON AS POSSIBLE (before 12:00 noon pm). We will get charge and get kick off for empty courts if there are no-shows or if we break the reservation rules per the SC Center manager!

Other reason why you have to be diligent about your changing your RSVP:

  1. This will gives the people on the waiting list time to get to the courts (meetup.com will notify and bump them to the Attending list but it is not an instant/immediate notification from their servers so hence the noon deadline).

  2. These are very popular public courts and they fill up quickly.

If you have 2 no-shows to the SBIO events, I will reserve the right to place you on the wait-list. We want to make the RSVP fair to those making the effort in attending the meetups.

The RSVP process will open 1 week before session date. I am adding the tennis to the SBIO meetup calendar but will adjust/cancel event due to conditions beyond our control.

Common sense:

Rain, extreme weather (e.g. heat wave) or extreme conditions (e.g. construction, closure, park events) will cancel tennis meetup event. There is a couple of water fountains if you need to refill your bottle if you run empty. Restrooms located near the tennis center office.

If you get kicked out of the Santa Clara Tennis Center, South Bay Indoor/Outdoor Activities Meetup organizers, event hosts and attendees are not responsible on trying to you back into the Santa Clara Tennis Center.

Santa Clara Tennis Center, South Bay Indoor/Outdoor Activities Meetup, organizers and event hosts are not responsible for any injuries and/or illnesses that occur during and from the meetup event.

Keep in mind that all skills levels will be there.

How to find us? We are already on the tennis courts (or bleachers/waiting area if the courts are full) and most of us look like our pictures in the RSVP column. If I am hosting tennis, I am the Asian girl with a blue Prince tennis bag and either a black or pink baseball cap.

Now that you read the entire details....Let's have fun, running around and hitting the ball.
