Google has been in the press a lot in the past few days since announcing Android Wear, their upcoming line of Android branded smart watches. Wearables are the next big frontier for smart technology. And on March 18, 2014, Google announced its part in it (http://www.androidcentral.com/google-officially-announces-android-wear) — Android Wear. As the name implies, Android Wear is an Android-based initiative, using Google's mobile operating system and a dedicated software development kit to kick-start the wearables space.

There is sure to be more news about Android Wear at the Google I/O conference in June, but why wait? We've installed the Android Wear preview SDK and have already built some sample apps which use it. Come and join us and learn more about this new Google technology. We will cover the following:

Troy Miles is a senior software engineer at Kelley Blue book and a mobile web application developer. His experience includes both front-end and back-end development and is particularly skilled at fast and efficient front-end development using JavaScript and plug-ins like jQuery, jQuery Mobile, Underscore, and Backbone. Because of his extreme depth of knowledge of mobile technologies, he is a sought after speaker at code camps and other technical events.
