About us
We're an active and friendly Humanism group in London, UK. Our well attended monthly humanist gatherings normally take place on the second Monday of each month. As well as these main meetings, we have plenty of other interesting activities too. We're a Partner of Humanists UK.
To attend meetings you don't have to join or become a member. You're especially welcome if you think you may in fact already be a humanist and want to find out more.
There's no need to use the RSVP button here on Meetup - just come along!

Curbing CO2: don't forget shipping
Richmond Library Annexe, Quadrant Road, Greater London, GBEmissions from ships contribute more to global warming than the entire economy of a major country such as the UK. Yet over 90% of global trade relies on them.
We're fortunate to have Claudene Sharp-Patel, Global Technical Director at Lloyd’s Register Marine and Offshore, to give us an expert view from the top of the industry on what is/can be done on this important, but less discussed, aspect of emissions reduction.Claudene is a unique leader. She was the first woman in the world to earn a chief engineer’s combined motor and steam qualification. Since then she has had a distinguished career ranging across the world of shipping, and remains a passionate advocate for women in the maritime industry.
If you can't make it in person, you can participate online using this Zoom link (no need to sign-up):
