Welcome to SCU North’s Meetup Site.
The community center is closed on August 4th, so we're moving for the evening! Please message Amber through Meetup if you need the exact address, but a good landmark is Franklin Elementary, off Rochester Road in Franklin Park/Sewickley.Plan to arrive at 6:30pm to set up. Park on the street and walk down our driveway to the backyard. There will be signs from the road guiding you to Chez Rozel. The directions are pretty simple.
Plan to bring your music, a ukulele and the expectation to have a good time and we always seem to have a good time 😊. $3.00 per person.

SCU, we are looking for 20ish performers to help out our very beginners at their first performance EVER at the Carnegie Library Studio in Carnegie, PA.
Here's our general schedule:
5:45 CALL TIME - be inside the Carnegie
6:00-6:30 FREE Ukulele Lesson and warm-up.
6:30-7:30 Concert in the Studio downstairs in the art installation.
7:30-8:00 Take time to meet the new SCU members, pack up, and check out the art.The PLAYLIST - MMD C Jam from a few years ago + Dream Baby and I Melt with You.

THE UKULELE JAM
Some classic folk and soft rock songs from the San Jose Ukulele Club!We will be picking, singing and playing songs from the San Jose Ukulele Club’s songbook at the Dormont VFW.
If you have a favorite song - you can lead it if you want, but it’s not expected.Carrie and Sheila will again lead some of the songs and guide us through Tuesday’s playlist:

Join us at Lolev Beer in Lawrencville! Grab a beverage in the taproom and there MAY be a food truck outside. There are food venues within walking distance all along Butler Street.
FREE RAFFLE for anyone with an instrument: A fancy beer or chips.(I can bring you a uke!)
Come at 6:45 pm to set up, tune-up and talk.
We play from 7 to 8:30 pm, starting with the playlist below, followed by requests. No experience required! All levels are welcome, from beginners to professionals. If you don't know the chords... just sing louder. If you don’t have the music, someone will share their music with you. Bring a friend!
