COS Monday Evening Group Rides

This weekly ride is scheduled on Mondays starting on April 7, 2014 and is scheduled to end on September 29, 2014. The ride will depart from Church of the Saviour, Wayne, PA at 6:00 pm. Ride Level: D thru A,

Speed: 10-20 mph, Distance: 10-40 miles. Come ride with the largest evening cycling group in the Delaware Valley ( over 100 riders). We have 7 different ride groups ranging from our slowest paced "Hybrid Bike" group ( rides at 8-10 mph pace for 15 miles ) up to our "A" group ( 18-20 mph up to 30-40 miles). All rides start 6pm sharp and finish at sunset ( the Hybrid group finishes at 7:30). We also have post-ride socials at the Great American Pub in Wayne as well as two "tailgate" nights in the COS lot where BCP and SCU provide free pizza and soda to all riders. We also provide Q sheets and experienced ride leaders and sweep riders so no one gets lost! We do not ride on holidays that fall on a Monday ( Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc.). Rain cancels the ride but join the group Elist for last minute updates when weather is questionable. Cue sheets will be available. Organizers: Thomas G. Madle, [masked],[masked], John W. Moser, [masked],[masked]

What's the latest wrt tonight's COS ride please? Is it on or was it called off due to potential weather? I just joined the group and didn't get the email earlier.

What time does the group decide whether we are on/off based on weather?

      Hi Kathryn,
Tom Madle generally makes the call based on the radar by around 4:30-5pm and sends a message out to the Meetup mailing list.

This week the A ride will do a familiar route in Delaware County, 34 miles with 66 feet per mile of climbing - If you aren't familiar with the route please print yourself a cue sheet or load the GPS file.

Estimated pace is about 19 MPH or a little more if we are ambitious.

Remember we have pizza courtesy of BCP at the end of the ride.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
