"Professor Delaney will speak about the development of behavioural approaches to public policy and in particular the implications they have for financial regulation and related areas. Behavioural science has brought a huge array of new insights to public policy and also brings a range of new complex questions in particular about how businesses, regulators and consumers interact in the market. Professor Delaney's talk will outline the key ideas from the behavioural literature and work through some key examples where they have been applied in real-world policy and business contexts. Finally, he will discuss what potential future directions the interaction between behavioural economics, policy and business might take and the implications of this for people working in business, policy and regulation".
=======================
In a real coup for the #BENSyd meetup group, on 15 April we will welcome Professor Liam Delaney (University of Stirling, Scotland) to our home base at the Occidental Hotel in Sydney.
You might know of Liam from his hugely followed beavioural science blog http://economicspsychologypolicy.blogspot.com.au/
This blog is a fantastic resource for anyone interested in new thinking, research and applications from the behavioural sciences.
In other news we have just clicked over to 400 members, so get in quickly for this one as we only have a 100 space capacity.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again on the 15th!
