The Australian Behavioural Science Network is looking forward to welcoming Arron Child for the October Meetup Event. Register to join us on Thursday the 31st of October, 12pm-1pm (AEST).
About the talk:
2 in 5 Australians described themselves as either poor, struggling to pay their bills or just getting by in 2023. So when customers look for more affordable insurance cover, it’s really important they understand the quote and feel confident to make a decision.
Many people find life insurance documents and quotes complex, leading to difficulty understanding policies and feeling overwhelmed, which often leads to no action being taken. Although consumers have access to extensive information and tools, challenges remain due to low literacy, cognitive overload, and an overwhelming volume of details.
Arron Child will take us through a case study outlining the behavioural science principles and techniques that were used to improve comprehension of life insurance quotes by 60%.
About the speaker:
Arron has applied behavioral science principles and techniques to assist some of the most recognizable companies in Australia and globally, with many of his projects earning awards. He is currently a senior customer experience strategist/ behavioural scientist at Resolution Life Australasia, where he utilises customer experience and behavioural science strategies and techniques to understand and solve customer and business problems. Arron studied behavioural science at UTS where he is also currently an honorary adjunct fellow. He has written many industry thought pieces and spoken at a number of industry events such as Ted X Haymarket and MSIX.
Arron has co-chaired the Australian Behavioural Science Meetup since 2021.
