Scaling Microservices and Containers: a Kubernetes and Sysdig Meetup
Details
Hello Sysdig fans!
Come join us for an extra special meetup: we’re holding the event at Mashape HQ (https://www.mashape.com/) in downtown San Francisco and co-hosting with our good friends from Kubernetes (http://kubernetes.io/). At this meetup we’ll be covering how to scale and monitor microservices and containerized infrastructures with Kubernetes and Sysdig.
With the imminent release of Kubernetes 1.1 (https://github.com/kubernetes/kubernetes/milestones/v1.1) and the soon-to-be-announced Sysdig integration with Kubernetes (announcement coming this week!) there should be plenty of exciting technology to cover.
To start, we’ll have Eli Bixby, Developer Programs Engineer at Google giving an introduction to Docker and Kubernetes and then getting into some interesting use cases around empowering the deployment of microservices at scale.
Next, Gianluca Borello, Sr. Software Engineer at Sysdig will walk through some best practices for monitoring Kubernetes environments - including live demos of various open source tools and Sysdig's new Kubernetes integrations.
No matter what your skill level or familiarity with containers, all are welcome to attend. We’ll have good food and drinks, and plenty of Sysdig & Kubernetes giveaways!
Space at the venue is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot today.
And if you’re not already a member of Kubernetes’ meetup group, go join them now (https://www.meetup.com/Bay-Area-Kubernetes-Meetup/)!

About Kubernetes:
Kubernetes (http://kubernetes.io/) is an open source orchestration system for Docker containers. It handles scheduling onto nodes in a compute cluster and actively manages workloads to ensure that their state matches the users declared intentions. Using the concepts of "labels" and "pods", it groups the containers which make up an application into logical units for easy management and discovery.
