I'm excited to announce that for our next meetup Tim Thompson will be flying in all the way from San Jose California to present on and perform with his Kinect Based musical and graphical instrument the Space Palette! Tim is a software engineer, musician, and installation artist form San Jose, CA. He is the inventor of the programming language KeyKit. He is active in the casual musical instrument and controllerism communities and was recently on a panel at the Decibel Festival in Seattle with Roger Linn and Moldover.
Tim will be bringing a Space Palette which is a musical and graphical instrument that lets you play music and paint visuals simultaneously by waving your hands in the holes of a wood frame. No pre-recorded media, sequences, or loops are used - everything is generated in realtime by your hands. Checkout a recent Modulate This post with videos on Space Palette. Here is Tim's web site.
We will have a drawing for an NFR license for an XILS Bundle bundle with XILS 3 Le and PolyKBII Player for those who have RSVPd (and their guests).
