Good news fellow Pythonistas,

do you remember one of our previous adventures in the Cassandra-land (https://www.meetup.com/The-London-Python-Group-TLPG/events/218959098)?

Well Jon (the mastermind behind it) has kindly agreed to go back to the roots and present a crash course introduction to Cassandra, this time for a potentially broader audience.

We'll step away understanding how it's possible to to utilize this distributed database to achieve high availability across multiple data centers, scale out as your needs grow, and not be woken up at 3am just because a server or entire data center failed. We'll cover the basics of data modeling with CQL, and understand how that data is stored on disk.
