A Gentle Introduction to Coding with Python

Dear Pythonistas,

we wouldn't love and use our language if it wasn't for the "And Now for Something Completely Different" factor we're blessed from time to time: this time will try to reach the complete beginners!

For the next four weeks starting from the 19th Nov to the 10th Dec Tariq will present a "course" designed for complete beginners and anyone who considers themselves non-technical. This series of 4 short sessions will gently introduce you to programming with the popular and easy Python language.

We'll start from zero, progress through basic yet useful concepts, and by the end of the fourth session you'll have a small twitter-like web service running! The emphasis here is very much on accessibility, avoiding jargon, going at a pace that everyone is comfortable with, and celebrating progress!

If you've always wanted to start learning to code or learn python - come along or pass the word to friends or colleagues so we can make oure beloved community even larger.

Please note these will be hands on sessions so you'd be prepared with your own laptop, installing the anaconda distribution from:

Be sure you install the 3.5 version yes you read this correctly the sessions will be based on the new shiny python 3.5 for the first time!!!
