Welcome in 2013!

Hi All,

Happy New Year!

Looking to arrange the first meetup in 2013.  After the run-away success of the Tech Talks and Christmas Bash party, this next meetup will be a more contemplative, cosy affair in a nice pub.

With nearly 400 members I think it's a good time to take stock of where in London our members are and make sure the venue is as Pareto efficient as it can be.

So, please take a moment to complete the poll (using the link below) and let us know where in London you would like the venue to be.

Looking forward to seeing you on the 17th.

Best,

Kris

Do we have reservation? There're two tables for "Chris". Are those our tables? Haha :-)

Hi Elias. Your nearest tube station is Russell Square so take the Victoria line northbound and change at Green Park for the Piccadilly line.

What is the agenda for this meetup?

    January 16, 2013

    • Kris S.

Hi Kwabena. We do tech talks every other month; they have an agenda, but this is just a social. So, feel free to bring your own agenda :) Mine is just to meet other Python users and find out what they're up to.

For future reference, the vote could be better.

    1. People ought to be able to vote several times: e.g. I could be perfectly happy with a meetup either by my home or by my work, or any of the areas I travel through between the two. For want of my 'missing' votes and others like them, an area which would otherwise have been a clear leader may be relegated to 2nd place.

    2. 'Central' means different things to different people. It might be better just to state postcode areas. Labeling one as 'central' will, imho, give that area a disproportionate number of votes.

    Hugs though.

Hi Jonathan, thanks for your comments.

      1. Good point, hopefully the poll as it is will still be indicative though.

      2. Each area has an example postcode to try and help clarify.

      Best,

      Kris

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
