The Annual RCDCU Bike-A-Thon is on Saturday, September 21, 2013 @ 8:00 AM. The Bike-A-Thon begins and ends at Renaissance Community Development Credit Union at 55 Fuller Street, Somerset, NJ.
3-Mile Walk/Ride
The 3-mile walk/bike ride will take place in picturesque Colonial Park located at 156 Mettlers Road. The park offers a spectacular variety of features. This 3-mile course is laid out along a paved path. You will walk or ride past the beautiful Spooky Brook Golf Course, and view parts of the historic Delaware and Raritan Canal and the Millstone River The walk/ride begins and ends at the entrance to Colonial Park on Mettlers Road.
Whether riding single or as a team, you will not want to miss this opportunity to “Ride Your Way to Fun and Fitness” and help to “Promote Prostate Cancer Awareness.” All routes are monitored by cell phones, SAG Vehicles and members of the support team.
10-Mile Ride
The 10-mile ride takes you through the streets of Franklin through neighborhoods out into open space. A water stop is set up in the park on New Brunswick Road.
30-Mile Ride
The 30-mile ride takes you through neighborhoods, Colonial Park, and landmarks riding along parts of the Delaware Raritan Canal through open land space. A rest stop is set up in Colonial Park and at the half waypoint in the Clubhouse on DeSoto Drive, Franklin Park.
50-Mile Ride
The 50-mile ride is for the seasoned rider following the beginning of the 30-mile route, continuing along the Delaware Raritan Canal into Kingston, and returning to the rest stop at the Clubhouse on DeSoto Drive, Franklin Park, and back to the starting point.
