We'll open the night with an introduction to IBM Bluemix from IBMer Sanjay Joshi. In June 2013, Sanjay joined IBM's Emerging Internet Technologies jStart Team where his initial focus was on IBM Bluemix (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__ibm.com_Bluemix&d=BQMFaQ&c=Sqcl0Ez6M0X8aeM67LKIiDJAXVeAw-YihVMNtXt-uEs&r=Q8IhPU-EIzbG5YDx5LYO7zEJpGZykn7RwFg-UTPWvDc&m=KlTQ-P_zy0KN61G6LYwbwD_WHRwHg3IlLIjYxDKt3vw&s=sjcJrWF0v2v0gOBMIvqAPVdnl7QkZSwWwb-eDNzr06A&e=) collateral development, client outreach and market analysis. This included engagement with clients to harvest Bluemix use cases and experiences to identify innovation opportunities and platform requirements. He's the author of many Bluemix articles outlining deployment of popular open source projects onto the platform. More recently his interests have turned to Apache Spark - a lightning fast cluster computing Bluemix service for Big Data analytics.

Next, Mark T. Voelker will discuss DefCore, OpenStack's new standard for interoperability among OpenStack Powered clouds. Mark is OpenStack Foundation
